Why did the public not like Danyl?

Personally, I cant understand why a lot of people took a dislike to him. I didnt think he was cocky or arrogant at all!

To me, he came across really nice and friendly in interviews, all the negative publicity was totally unwarranted IMO.

A lot of my friends dont like him, however most agree that he's a great singer, just that some people dont like the way his voice sounds. Similar to Diana Vickers.  And i wasnt a fan of hers!

the show is very badly edited which doesnt help ppls perception of danyl. A few yrs back i wasnt keen on ben mills, yet when i actually met him he was amazing, and it was all down to the way the show portrays them. Have met danyl a few times , i can say he is an absolute star and one of the nicest ppl ive ever met!

the papers have been writing rubbish about him too which hasnt helped, if it wasnt for all the completely made-up stories the the public wouldnt have had no reason to dislike him!

It ll started on the first show with Louis, then danni made the stupid gender ref remark and then cheryl agreed with Louis.
He never really recovered because it was a god-send to the press who are always looking for someone to hold the role as villian.
It was such a shame as he is so talented, but you saw his confidence drain away.
It is typical of our society today that great potential like his is scorned and we end up with three mediocrities who are perceived to be'nice'.
I'm sure Danyl is nice too, but he is also clever, articulate, exciting............
Oh, I can't be bothered to go over it again, the nation loves people with self esteem issues , crazy dancing or perfect pitch blandness, and there is nothing to be done about it.
Sorry my first post sounds bitter but I'm so disappointed , I really think Danyl is something special.

Rufus you nailed it...lol..and what a sad example those two so called professional judges
have set for britain. Simon commented several times on picking a contestant that could represent their country?? Seems he needs to start some cleaning right there at that table huh...lol What a disgrace dannii & cheryl have done to britain & x factor. Danyl deserved to win just based on all the crap he took but he really has already won as so many people saw right through all that childish nonsense and he can definitely hold his head high. Lovin every minute of Danyl!

I feel exactly the same, Danyl was the most obvious talent out there. he was treated so badly by the nonsense press who just write what they want to sell papers. scandalous.

cant be fussed watching the final tomorrow now. the other three just dont do it for me at all!  joe will probably win but i wouldnt pay to see him in concert!

  I agree with everything you guys have just written.
I was incemsed by the way the press tried to assasinate his personality, and I was very angry with the way Cheryl in particular, and Danni, ran him down the whole time. I couldn't understand it ??

 I am still baffled as to why Ollie is there ? He has very weak vocals IMO ??

 It felt to me, that there was a hidden agenda to 'get him off' from an early part in the show , and it made me hopping mad !

I thought he was amazing to watch, he came accross as sincere and I have been watching his performances on You Tube a lot since the show started.
